Financial Spotlight ProLife Fintech
Another great bank I recommend (that I also do business with) in addition to Old Glory Bank is ProLife Fintech. ProLife Fintech was started by Nick Vujicic (the Christian motivational speaker who was born without arms and legs) after being de-banked by Chase Bank due to his Christian beliefs and Betsy Gray, who was working for a women’s pregnancy center and was displeased that all of the banks in her area were donating to Planned Parenthood and abortion providers. She wanted to start a bank that was pro-life and that churches and Christians could be comfortable with supporting.
ProLife calls itself a “Fintech” (short for “Financial Technology” since they cannot directly use the title “Bank” in their name without a charter. They are backed by Regent Bank, and all deposits are FDIC insured. They offer checking, savings, and money market accounts, as well as business and non-profit accounts.
Their app and website are easy to use and allow one to have a “virtual bank branch” in their pocket anytime. Their checking account comes with a debit card (it does not support Apple Pay yet, but it’s coming) that is also meant to be used as a Christian witnessing tool. I am also encouraging them to offer a credit card in the future. They recently opened a branch in Dallas, Texas, for those who wish to visit an in-person location.
ProLife Fintech is another great place to bank with for Christians, churches, and Christian non-profits looking for an alternative to major banks. Their leadership team is solid, their technology is excellent, and their money market account is a great place to build savings. I recommend both ProLife Fintech and Old Glory Bank and consider both to be excellent alternatives to the major banks and at the forefront of places to bank with, especially for those who have been de-banked by the major banks. I am excited to see what else ProLife Fintech offers in the future. Thank you, Nick and Betsy, for all of your efforts!
